UFC 104 - Press Conference
Machida vs Shogun is set to be one of the biggest anticipated fights of the year. UFC 104 will take place @ The Staples Center in Downtown LA on Saturday October 24th. It's been almost two and half years since the UFC has had a card in Los Angeles and the fans flocked to Nokia Plaza to experience The Press Conference. Power 106 fm was on-site with the fans in anticipation of the madness that is Lyota "The Dragon" Machida & Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. Ticket info can be found @ ticketmaster.com and/or power106.com. What Up.... I have recently joined the Power 106 Promotions Team otherwise known as The Flava Unit.... Some of my recent events included, Americafest @ The Pasadena Rose Bowl (4th of July) & The Staples Center for the Michael Jackson Memorial Event. KPWR is owned by Emmis Communications which is the same company that operated KMVN Movin 93.9 fm / Rick Dees In The Morning. After spending two years w/ Movin 93.9 fm, It feels great to reconnect with The Emmis Family. Remembering Michael Jackson
Let me tell you.... It took me a couple of days to comment about the untimely death of Michael Joseph Jackson. MJ marched to the beat of his own drum and has definitely set the bar for the next crop of Pop Stars. Loosing Michael Jackson is a major hit to the music community although it has now allowed us to celebrate his legacy. Late Night Legend - Ed McMahon R.I.P
Since the beginning I have always been a huge fan of Late Night Television. Everything from Celebrity Interviews to The Opening Monologue, The Late Night Shows truly embody the meaning of Television Personality. Although I was pretty young when Johnny Carson & Ed McMahon showcased their Comedy Magic, That legacy lives on in my own dreams of Hosting Late Night Television. Ed McMahon was certainly and inspiration and so giving to Johnny Carson. In The Entertainment Industry its not everyday that you see a duo share the spotlight so well. I have tons of Respect for all the Current Late Night Hosts, But Johnny & Ed definitely made a mark on Showbizz & Entertainment. After hearing the news of Ed McMahon's passing, I thought it would be appropriate to visit his STAR on The HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME. After finishing my Hike @ Runyon Canyon I made my way towards Hollywood Blvd to pay tribute to the guy that will now be considered a Comedy Legend....
