Power 106 Events / MJ Memorial
What Up.... I have recently joined the Power 106 Promotions Team otherwise known as The Flava Unit.... Some of my recent events included, Americafest @ The Pasadena Rose Bowl (4th of July) & The Staples Center for the Michael Jackson Memorial Event. KPWR is owned by Emmis Communications which is the same company that operated KMVN Movin 93.9 fm / Rick Dees In The Morning. After spending two years w/ Movin 93.9 fm, It feels great to reconnect with The Emmis Family. Power 106 fm has also just announced it's star studded line-up for The 2009 Powerhouse which includes performances by LMFAO, New Boyz, Flo Rida, Pitbull, Sean Paul, & Jay-Z !!!! Remembering Michael Jackson
Let me tell you.... It took me a couple of days to comment about the untimely death of Michael Joseph Jackson. MJ marched to the beat of his own drum and has definitely set the bar for the next crop of Pop Stars. Loosing Michael Jackson is a major hit to the music community although it has now allowed us to celebrate his legacy. Late Night Legend - Ed McMahon R.I.P
Since the beginning I have always been a huge fan of Late Night Television. Everything from Celebrity Interviews to The Opening Monologue, The Late Night Shows truly embody the meaning of Television Personality. Although I was pretty young when Johnny Carson & Ed McMahon showcased their Comedy Magic, That legacy lives on in my own dreams of Hosting Late Night Television. Ed McMahon was certainly and inspiration and so giving to Johnny Carson. In The Entertainment Industry its not everyday that you see a duo share the spotlight so well. I have tons of Respect for all the Current Late Night Hosts, But Johnny & Ed definitely made a mark on Showbizz & Entertainment. After hearing the news of Ed McMahon's passing, I thought it would be appropriate to visit his STAR on The HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME. After finishing my Hike @ Runyon Canyon I made my way towards Hollywood Blvd to pay tribute to the guy that will now be considered a Comedy Legend....

Mama's Day !!!!
There are so many great reasons to get the family together, But Mothers Day definitely has to be towards the top of the list. This weekend was more about spending "quality" Mama Time rather than showering her with gifts that are out of our price range. But we did spend the Holiday Weekend the way it should be.... Remembering my Aunt Mary Lou
Two years ago on September 5th (My Birthday) sadly we lost my Aunt Mary Lou. She was so warm and such a fun Amazing Person. Every year on her Birthday we get together at her Favorite Oxnard Restaurant and celebrate her life. Lamar Odom Event @ The Roosevelt Hotel
What up.... Friday Nights event was tons of fun. I made my way to The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood for The 5th Annual Dinner of The Cathy's Kids Foundation hosted by Los Angeles Laker, Lamar Odom.... Entertainment Website, Hollyscoop.com sent me to get the scoop on this nights events. I ran into some great Radio Friends and met a lot of Cool People. Story Posted Below:

LA Lakers superstar, Lamar Odom & Nike team up for the 5th Anniversary Dinner of the Cathy's Kids Organization held at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. Cathy's Kids is an organization designed to enrich the youth via sports education and mentorship. Team Odom has been an instrumental force in the success of the foundation which was established in March of 2004. Lamar Odom who hosted the event, was joined by, Derek Fisher, Joshua Powell, Luke Walton, Penny Marshall, Bai Ling, Dania Ramirez, Damon Wayans Jr., and DJ Felli Fel.
Odom told Hollyscoop about the importance of the nights event, "I mean its fun, It means a lot to me, Its all about giving back." Teammate Derek Fisher commented, "I'm here tonight to support Lamar and the Cathy's Kids foundation. Lamar is such a big piece in what were trying to do on the court, but his personality off the court is very important to our team also."
Aside from being a great basketball player, Lamar also has several different business affairs lined up. His t-shirt line called Rich Soil can currently be picked up Metropark Stores. As for a Restaurant in the works, He tells us, "Uhhh yeah i think so, haha. Its gonna be called East." As for a rumored love life with Taraji P. Henson, Lamar explains, "Thats my friend and we'll keep it at that. She's shooting a movie as a matter of fact, very proud and I always wish the best for her."
